There are many new arrivals in the UK incl. school children for whom English is a completely new experience and often a source of anxiety. It is also a common barrier that prevents them from reaching their full learning potential. An increasing number of Ukrainian refugees who were forced to flee their country as a result of Putin’s brutal invasion of Ukraine is a good example of this phenomenon. The use of a professional translator or interpreter can certainly help them with accessing the curriculum.
