If your EAL students are speakers of the Polish or Russian language, Mr Coach can certainly facilitate their learning, especially in maths, but also in other subjects, both in the school environment as well as in the comfort of their homes.
We also offer a suitable alternative option where Child Language Brokering (CLB) may not be ideal. For example, in situations:
- Where there is a high risk of causing the child embarrassment or stress
- Where sensitive information needs to be discussed and shared between teachers and parents/carers
- Where topics of discussion potentially place too much responsibility on the shoulders of the child.
CLB is often an easy answer for schools, as it is free, quick, and technically legal, but various studies have shown that the cons of CLB outweigh the pros. Mr Coach can help your school manage your translation and interpreting needs and support good practice regarding Child Language Brokering.
