Fees

Every project is different and there is no such thing as a ‘one-size-fits-all’ rate. Whether it is a translation job, fixed-term marketing support, business or language consultancy project, training delivery, or something else, there are literally dozens of factors that can affect fees.

For a simple example, translation rates will depend on the complexity and quality of your source text, and file format, how quickly you want it back, the overall volume or duration of the project, our current availability, and your special requests or expectations. Hand-written and non-editable documents tend to be more expensive while certified translations carry a significant surcharge for authentication, and due to their legal nature.

In the case of other types of projects and services, the quotes may also depend on whether there is any travel time, significant project set-up, or background preparation required. Additional charges may also arise as a result of extra costs incurred due to the purchase of necessary materials and resources, or the use of external services or suppliers.

Finally, depending on their nature, different projects may be more suitable for different settlement methods. While many translation tasks can be charged per source word or per page, transcreation jobs are often settled by the hour, or by a fixed fee for the whole project. In some other cases, such as long-term Six Sigma projects or ongoing marketing campaign support, a fixed daily rate or a weekly or monthly retainer can be used with a potential discount also applied.
