My Experience

I have a strong and rich educational background as well as broad experience working in a number of different organisations, and settings with varied audiences from children to top-level stakeholders in global corporate environments.

I come from a solid marketing, product, and communications background and have marketed both products and services across a range of industries in both B2B and B2C as well as in domestic and international environments. This includes both sales support-oriented and customer-facing, consultative as well as management roles across industries such as IT, engineering, manufacturing, transport, energy and utilities, packaging, education, translation, business services, and consulting to name a few, both in the public and private sectors.

I have a successful track record of making things happen in many different areas of marketing communications and business development, from strategic planning, product management, and product launches to branding, brochures, and websites.

I have also many years of experience in curriculum development and teaching mathematics and statistics and in the capacity of a process, quality and business performance improvement consultant where statistical methods such as Six Sigma are widely utilised. I have also worked extensively as a technical and marketing translator and transcreator, managed translation projects, and also provide certified translations. My rich and well-rounded career has given me a broad picture of the business environment with a thorough understanding of the cohesion of all business functions.

Thanks to the engineering component of my background, I find it quite easy to work with any product or service requiring an understanding of technical aspects and technology. The communications and linguistic components, in turn, make it easy for me to act as a conduit between highly technical colleagues and the market which requires translating technical features into benefits easily understandable by non-technical audiences.

Finally, in terms of personal attributes, I feel confident and comfortable in an international, multilingual, and multicultural environment. I am also aware of cultural differences and speak 4 languages. On top of that, I am highly organized and analytical with a sense of responsibility and a keen eye for detail.
